King George Medical University, for a while known as Chhatrapati Shahuji Medical University, is ranked 4th out of 345 Medical Institution of India, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In 1870, the Maharaja of Vijanagaram first floated the idea of starting a Medical College in Lucknow. But the idea was watered down due to paucity of funds. In 1950 the visit of King Emperor, George V, the Prince of Wales, inspired the idea of establishing a college of commemorate the occasion.

• Age Limit - The age of the applicant must be below 40 years.
