KPSC Assistant Horticulture Officer Written Test Syllabus / KPSC Assistant Town Planner Exam Pattern/ Horticulture Assistant Previous Year Question Papers/ Staff Nurse Scheme of Examination/ Assistant Cadre Syllabus/ First Division Assistant Question Papers

Karnataka Public Service Commission is going to conduct the written examination for the various posts of Assistant in the coming few months. Assistant Cadre & First Division Assistant Competitive Exam Syllabus :-

• The examination will consists of two written papers. First paper is of General Knowledge & second paper is of General English or General Kannada. The maximum marks for each paper will be 150. The question in both papers will be "Objective Multiple Choice Type". The duration of each paper will be two hours.
• The paper on General Knowledge will normally conform to the minimum standard relating to General Knowledge, expected of a student who has passed Bachelor's Degree Examination of a University & will cover questions on the Constitution of India, Indian History & Culture, General & Economic Geography of India, Current Events, every day Science & such matters of every day observations as may be expected of an educated person. 
• The paper on General English or General Kannada will normally conform to the minimum standard expected of a student who has passed the Bachelor's Degree Examination of a University. It is intended to test candidate's knowledge of English/Kannada Grammar, vocabulary, spelling, synonyms, antonyms, his power to understand & comprehend English/Kannada Language & his ability to discriminate between correct & incorrect usage etc.
• The candidate may answer either the paper on General English or the paper on General Kannada.

Junior Assistant & Second Division Assistant Exam Pattern & Syllabus :-

• Two papers - First of General Knowledge & Second is of General English or General Kannada. Each paper is of 150 marks & time duration for each paper is 120 minutes.
• The paper on GK will namely conform to the minimum standard relating to General Knowledge, expected of a student who has passed S.S.L.C Examination & will cover topics relating to Constitution of India, Indian History & Culture, General & Economic Geography of India, Current events, every day science & such matters of every day observations as may be expected of an educated person.
• The paper of General English or General Kannada will normally conform to the minimum standard expected of a student who has passed the S.S.L.C Examination. It is intend to test candidate's knowledge of English/Kannada Grammar, Spelling, Synonyms, Antonyms, vocabulary, his power to understand & comprehend English/Kannada Language & his ability to discriminate between correct & incorrect usage etc.
• The candidate may answer either paper on General English or General Kannada.
