Karnataka Examination Authority is going to conduct the written examination for the post of Assistant Professor in the coming few months. The competitive examination will be held for 2160 posts. Pattern of Question Paper :-
All Eligible candidate should appear for the competitive examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. It consists of four papers.
 Paper 1 Kannada     100 Marks              2 Hours     
 Paper 2  English   100 Marks       2 Hours
 Paper 3 General Knowledge    100 Marks       2 Hours
 Paper 4 Optional Subject    200 Marks       3 Hours

Paper first & second are descriptive type. Paper 1 & 2 are equivalent to First Language Kannada/English of SSLC Level. Paper third contains topics of Currents events, general science, humanities, matters of everyday observations & practical knowledge as may be expected of a person who has passed the prescribed qualifying examination. Paper third contains Multiple Choice Questions either in English or Kannada Language. Paper fourth also contains Multiple Choice Questions either in Kannada or English Language to measure the knowledge in respective subject at Post Graduate Level.

Syllabus of Compulsory Paper

Key Points : The marks obtained in the compulsory paper i.e. in Kannada & English shall be qualifying nature. For qualifying in these papers, a minimum of 30% in each paper & 35% aggregated is prescribed. The marks obtained in these two papers shall not be considered for determining the merit of selection. The standard of compulsory papers i.e. Kannada & English shall be that of 1st Language Kannada & 1st Language English at SSLC Level & standard of paper IV is of Post Graduate Level.
