West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is going to conduct the written test for the post of Sub Inspector (Armed & Un-Armed). Those friends who applied for this posts can check the pattern & syllabus of paper through the details provided below.

Written Examination - The written test will consists of Three Papers of conventional type questions namely.
Paper - 1 - General Studies & Arithmetic of 100 marks. (80 marks for General Studies & 20 marks for Arithmetic) of 2 hour duration.
Paper - II - English of 50 marks of One Hour duration.
Paper - III - Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali of 50 marks of one hour duration.
The examination for all the above three papers will be held on same day.

Syllabus of Written Exam :-
Paper-1 - General Studies & Arithmetic :-
(i) General Studies (Group-A) - Questions will be to test the General Knowledge of Candidates in different spheres.
(ii) Arithmetic (Group-B) - Questions will be set on the basis of the syllabus of Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination.
The answer of Paper-I (Group-A) may be given in English or in Bengali or in Nepali & the answer for the Paper-I (Group-B) may be given either in English or in Bengali but all the answer must be in one & the same language.

English - Questions may be set on all or any of the following items :
(a) Drafting of report from the points or the material supplied.
(b) Translation from Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali, as the same may be to English.
(c) Condensing of a prose passage (summary/precis).
(d) Correct use of words, correction of sentences, use of common phrases, synonyms & antonyms.

C. Bengali/ Urdu/ Nepali/ Hindi - Questions may be set on all or any of the following items :
(a) Drafting of a report from the points or material supplied.
(b) Translation from English to Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali as the case may be.
(c) Condensing of a prose passage (summary/ precis).
(d) Grammar
